Plugin License Terms

Last updated: July 2, 2026

These Plugin License Terms (“Terms”) govern your download, purchase, and use of the WordPress plugins (“Software”) offered by Luminos Agency (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or purchasing the Software, you agree to these Terms.

1. Free and paid plugins

Some of our plugins are free and some are paid. A free plugin is yours to use at no cost. A paid plugin includes a commercial license to our services — automatic updates, priority support, and license activation — for the number of sites and the term stated at checkout. In both cases, the plugin’s code is licensed to you under the GPL, as described below.

2. The code is open-source (GPL)

Our plugins are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL). The GPL gives you real freedoms in the plugin’s code, including the right to use, modify, and redistribute it — this is true of both our free and our paid plugins. What a paid license controls is not the code but our services: when a paid license lapses, the plugin keeps working, but you stop receiving updates, support, and any features that require an active license.

Our brand is not part of that grant. “Luminos”, our product names, and our logos are trademarks of Luminos Agency. The GPL covers the code, not our brand — so any redistribution must not use our name or branding and must not imply that we produced, support, or endorse your copy.

3. Seats and license keys

  • Paid plans cover the number of sites (“seats”) and the period stated at checkout.
  • You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential and for activating it only on sites you are authorised to manage.
  • We do not remotely disable installed software; a lapsed license simply loses updates, support, and license-gated features.

4. No warranty

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every theme, plugin, or version of WordPress or WooCommerce.

5. Your responsibility — backups and testing

Some of our tools perform bulk and irreversible operations on live store data (for example, editing products, stock, categories, or orders). You are solely responsible for maintaining current backups and for testing on a staging environment before running operations in production. We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, lost sales, or downtime arising from your use of the Software.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luminos Agency’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Software shall not exceed the fees you paid for the Software in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. AI-assisted features

Certain features use artificial intelligence to generate suggestions (for example, 404 redirect suggestions or content assistance). To do so, the relevant content is sent through our platform to our AI provider, Anthropic. That data is not used to train AI models. AI output may be inaccurate — you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or publishing it.

8. Downloads, email, and your data

When you download a free plugin from our site, we ask for your email address so we can deliver the download and, only if you tick the marketing box, keep you updated. Marketing consent uses double opt-in: you are added to no list until you click the confirmation link we email you, and every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe. We share data only with the service providers who help us operate — including Stripe (payments), Postmark (email), DigitalOcean (hosting), and Anthropic (AI features). For full detail on what we collect and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Refunds

We want you to be satisfied. Paid plugin licenses may be refunded within fourteen (14) days of purchase if you have not activated the license on a production site. Renewals are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future billing. If you are an EU/UK consumer, statutory withdrawal rights may apply where the download has not yet begun.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Delaware shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Software, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here at the time of your purchase. Questions? Contact us.
